It was surprisingly small, nestled deeply into the hot sand, some piled relatively high against one of its sides. When it is not so obscured, its broad, round base can be seen, making it look peculiar with how short it is, appearing to look more like a misshapen circle than an egg. Its soft contours and gentle slopes do it no further favours. The surface, however, was as smooth as glass, devoid of lumps, bumps, or cracks; Its facets were lustrous. If you were to pick up the egg, you would stumble, surprised by its weight; while not necessarily being extremely heavy, the egg was heavier than it looked, the shell sturdy and tough, meaning even if you were to trip while holding it, it was unlikely to crack. The egg was primarily a watercolour blend of browns, building a picture of a dreary sky in the background, speckled with clouds of liquid gold, amber, and copper. The strokes of grey and green side by side in the foreground resemble floating islands of rocks and greenery hanging above the world in judgment.
