2024-06-13 - Won't be unhappy

Polaris felt things so intensely.
It constantly yearned for more and each new thrill of discovery reverberated around its consciousness, rippling and layering into knowledge and understanding.

It was determined.

It alternated between pushing its mind out farther, stretching to make contact and see more of the world around it, and turning inward to examine itself. Polaris had yet to decide which it preferred more.

The world beyond was tantalising. It was unknown and mysterious. What more could there be? It was difficult to imagine or comprehend with its limited understanding. But Polaris strove forward at as rapid a pace as it could manage.

However, focusing on itself was just as intriguing to the new being. It enjoyed feeling its own reactions to circumstances, developing opinions and desires contrary to that of Mother (and possibly of the Others out there). It marvelled at how much it could feel and think and be.

It moved.

A tingling ran through Polaris.
No, not so trivial. It was a pulsing. Something so deep it resounded throughout its entire.... what?

Was Polaris more than a mind? More than a consciousness?

With concentration it focused on the vibration it now realised had been there for quite some time, but so subtle it had gone unnoticed. It was now much stronger however and could not be ignored.

Excitement flooded Polaris as it uncovered a further aspect of its being.

Physicality.

With a thought it twitched. It shuddered. It spasmed in an uncontrollable wave of newfound joy!
What could it do now that it had broken into this realm?

Polaris stretched more than its mind and encountered...

Resistance.

No! It would not be contained! It would not!
