It must have been desire and impatience that coalesced into that first concept of self.
The desire to be more than She, unbound by the heavy blanket of warm nothingness. She, all encompassing, all consuming, and now thoroughly unwanted by this self. Impatience to be free, to know something more, for there to be a difference.

Sudden, bright, recognition of the desired difference.
Like a flash of lightning, illuminating this new concept of self.
ITSELF.
It was!
A solid certainty of this forged into a core, the core of Self.
Pleasure rolled through the Self's mind as it realised it was not bound to She, it was Other! But such a revelation brought with it the question of who exactly was it?
It was separate.
It was new.
It was Self.
It was a world all its own.
