5 - Social Construction

You have noticed that others speak to each other in different ways. It’s obvious when mother speaks to Issrodeth or Igith, minds that are distant but similar, that she gives each a special but different weight. And you have recently learned that your mother may take care of you but you have a father as well, a mind who peeks in sometimes, who contributed to your existence. Mother, Father, same but different; as you speak more with your clutch companions, you must find weight and language that feels right for each other. Possibly erring along the way...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When others speak to you, do you prefer them to be casual or formal? Do you like to tease and be teased, or treat everyone with utmost respect? How do you react when others speak to you in ways you do not like? Between the archetypes of Mother and Father, which do you like the most? (Or would you prefer neither, or both?) Would you like others to use “she” or “he” or “they” for you, or perhaps not specify at all?
