There once was a Weyr who had a quake
The earth broke apart, the ground did shake
Eggs tossed here and there
Many felt great despair
Trapped in shell, no actions to take.

Some cried, some sang, some rolled
Above them stood Gwillanth, brave gold
Still the quake had a cost
Young Pycgloith was lost
Gone a life, tale forever untold.

At last stillness did the world regain
The air filled with debris and pain
Rescuers reached the Sands
Clutch moved with careful hands
Under blue sky, Weyr's hope will remain.
