Sigil mulled it over. These were how Mother and the Others addressed each other. She said such-and-such, He did this-or-that, They don’t know what they’re talking about…

Mother was she. Pertemarth was he. Issrodeth and Igith are also she, but different than mother. “The green” was also she… Brown was he, and Bronze.

How was Sigil supposed to know if ‘he’ or ‘she’ was right if it was dependent on something they didn’t know yet!?

She came with feelings of respect, often with hope.

He came with love, but also occasionally hate

She came with derision, and seldom kindness.

Was it that black and white? He was love and she was not? If she was hope, was he fear?

Sigil did not want to be fear. Did not want to be the cause of disgust.

Sigil wanted to be love, and respect, and hope.

Sigil would have to be she, then, regardless of the things she hadn’t discovered about herself yet.
