Jinth didn’t often get to hear his bio dad’s thoughts on anything, since he wasn’t around the clutch as often as mother and her mate. So when he had watcher duty for a few hours Jinth took advantage of the opportunity.

Interesting that biodad only thought of the children that could possibly be leaders one day, or potential mates, but didn’t seem all that interested in those children that didn’t seem destined for either job. What, so those of his children who didn’t want to lead or just be pretty to look at weren’t worth anything to him? That seemed to be a very limited way of looking at others. And boring to talk to, if that much of the world was cut off.

And a trap Jinth himself might fall into someday if he wasn’t careful about his thoughts.
