A new, strange mind approached. A different shape to what Jjezreth had learned were humans or dragons. Of course, dragon's minds took different shapes but this new mind didn't feel the same. Close but different. Jjezreth clamored for Bisk's attention, squirming when she touched Patchwork's shell and complaining when she moved on.

But the thoughts she shared gave it something to brood over. Things to consider it hadn't known to think.

Be humble. Well, Jjezreth didn't know what that meant but it knew it had been annoyed by Yuakajth's pride so it made sense to just try not to be that.

Then Bisk said to respect … dirt?
That was an idea that Jjezreth didn't understand. Mother never dreamed of [i]earth[/i]. It was always something far, far below. Something that existed only to define the sky. Something that shook and trembled sometimes, and hurt Mother and siblings.
… Although, the dirt was what herdbeasts lived on and those were good. It was where Mother slept. Humans were naturally confined to the dirt, too.

Night was when it was dim and cold, Jjezreth thought. If there was more to know then Jjezreth didn't know how to know it.

Lies? Jjezreth didn't know what a lie was. It reached for the concept and then recoiled from it, immediately repelled by the notion.

Heart open. Now that was an idea that Jjezreth could get behind! It peered into the strange mind to see what kindness was, what love was. Love was what was between Mother and her blue and what Mother felt for Patchwork and its siblings. As much as it struggled to understand most of Bisk's mind, this? This Jjezreth understood.
