2024-07-13 - Like Moths to a Flame
There are many candidates drawn to the Layers of Time in a Canyon Wall Egg, since it is wiggling so fiercely, like it's trying to hatch already. The sand has been piled high around it, at least at the start of the Touching, to the point where only the top of the dented shell is visible - clearly this was done in order to keep it from rolling right out of its wallow in the sand and causing chaos.

To the Fool
Well aren't you eager. You remind Kanyoth of the puppies that were here some days ago. Are you a human puppy? You definitely seem excited to be here. Is Kanyoth excited to be here too? No, Kanyoth is excited to get out of here. He's been trying to do that for sevendays now. Would you mind helping him out? You could at least move some of the sand he's currently encased in out of the way. It's like he's been stuck in a second layer of confines. He hates it.
To the Lovers
You two remind Kanyoth of their fellow clutchmembers Myrcellath and Neath and Misogauth. The green gang. Tightly bound together, a bit by happenstance of how they came to be, but mostly by choice. They don't see why you two would end up being separated with one being left behind if you didn't want it to be that way for some reason. As long as you continue to choose each other, barring some awful tragedy (yes of course the earthquake comes to mind) then you will continue to be together always. This isn't a matter of predetermined fate, it's a matter of how you choose your life to be. Do what you will.
Also, if one of you holds one end of Kanyoth's confines and the other of you holds the other end, Kanyoth might be able to put enough force and pressure against their confines to get out of here. Would you mind helping them out?
To the Hanged Man
Nice tune you're whistling there. It's nice that you know what you want out of life. The problem is, everyone in this clutch has already seen too much of death, and Kanyoth doubts any of them want to live fast and, by implication, die fast. If it happens to Kanyoth, it happens, but Kanyoth herself isn't going to rush towards death when she hasn't even had a chance to properly live first. Speaking of properly living, would you mind helping her out of this egg so she could get around to doing that? She's been stuck in here and struggling to get out for so long.
To the Devil
Kanyoth fails to see why you can't go to a place with music and dancing and laughter if that's what you want to do. What's forcing you to stay here? If you don't want to answer that question, then can you at least help him get out of what's forcing him to stay here, these confines? Hey, don't just laugh at that and walk away! Fuck you!
