2024-07-09 - These words... feel wrong.

They weren't sure about the other minds that were not Mother or the Others. The one Mother talked to often, the one she spoke to with that same warm feeling that she used on Omen... Omen felt a way about that. On the Others, or the odd-mind that was often with Mother, it seemed normal, but Omen wanted Mother not to use that tone with that one. It took time, but eventually Omen learned the word for what they were feeling. Jealousy.

Mother's anger at the one was understandable. Stepping on things?! Omen only knew from Mother what stepping was like, but surely you weren't supposed to step on things.

The sadness from Mother's close-mind, the one who was there most often, hurt. Omen did not like the hurt. Omen tried and tried again to reach out to the mind, trying to share the feelings, the word-actions. "Don't. Don't hurt. We will fix it. We will stop it, the hurt."
