2024-07-07 - Puppy Dog Pals

This was new.

The minds that invaded the sands were small, and warm, even if they didn't think that they would be heard if they tried to reach out. The minds were also very active, and their bodies too. She could feel them brush against herl, and one very adventurous one jumped onto her shell. They were adorable!

...And not being shooed away?

Did nobody know that they were there? Don't get them wrong, they didn't mind this at all. The little one that had jumped on her had moved onto digging a hole, right next to her egg. Good fuzzy.

Still, they doubted that the puppies were unaccompanied, and they reached out, their mind reaching, and finding an apologetic voice, and a pleased feel from mother. And a sleepy feel from the puppy closest to her, one paw pressed against the shell of their egg.

Good puppy.

Perhaps a nap wasn't such a bad idea, and as Challeanoth drifted off, they reached out one last time towards the pup. Even if they might not be able to understand, Challeanoth can't help but send a thought full of warmth and safety, with a soft good puppy added on.

Maybe she'd get to see them again. She really liked puppies.
