Rocranth was another annoyance that interrupted the Child's sleep. It wasn't unusual for a random Sibling to be a bit loud and surprise her, but it was unusual for them to have something interesting to say. (Really, they were all stuck here in the same place at the same time, anyone who felt the need to shout was overcompensating for their lack of interesting thoughts)
Still, Rocranth was doing something new. That was both deeply unfair, and a good sign that she could be doing that thing too.
So. A Name. She had no idea how to start building a Name. Did she just... slap some sounds together? Her first attempt left her with the name Youth. It wasn't bad but it wasn't right. It was too... round? Springy? Stretchy? Annoyingly, she couldn't articulate what was wrong with it.
Her second attempt left her with Klicitath. It lacked the round soft stretchy issue that Youth had, but. It now seemed... messy? Imprecise? It wouldn't work for HER , at least of that, she was sure
Obviously, this method wasn't working. She needed information
Quietly, she stretched out to the other Siblings, many of whom were also pondering the business of a Name. Settling in to listen, she took notes on what things worked for her and didn't.
The first thing she found correct for her Name was that it needed to be short. Gwillanth, Pertemarth, Yuakajth. All were a bit too much. Igith and Valyth were shorter, and easier to remember, and she wouldn't want to forget or mispronounce her own Name.
Others call out their Names. Diath, Neath, Liorenth, Alaphiath. All good names. She liked Liorenth. It had emphasis She wasn't as dramatic as Liorenth or Rocranth, but her Name should have weight, same as theirs.
Third, Names weren't sharp. In all of the Names, none of them had similar pointy or pokey sounds like Klicitath had (a pity). So whatever her Name was would have to be softer.
Finally, she settled on one that worked. Azimuth. She was Azimuth. Content, she settled back to sleep. Finally, she would be able to introduce herself properly
