The egg has bands of various shades of brown and tan circling it, in varying widths. From a small distance it appears similar to the kinds of layered rocks oftentimes found in canyons and mountain plateaus eroded by wind and water.

The egg’s shape is a bit rounder than is usual for dragon eggs, though still within norms. Generally it’s laying on its side, like it’s hiding. Though it’s not scared or shy or anything; it’s just watching everyone around it, figuring out their moves so as to manipulate them into doing its bidding. Once it figures out what it wants from the outside, that is.

There’s some scratches marring the egg’s surface, though not big enough to be easily noticeable unless an observer wanted to go over the shell with a fine tooth comb or something.
