Fill

As a result of their continuous quest to free themself from their confines, the inhabitant within Canyon kept odd sleeping and waking hours that were often asynchronous with the rest of the clutch. They would wake up, make their best effort at breaking out that they could, grow tired, fall asleep, repeat. It was a regular cycle for them, and they didn't see the fact it was dissimilar to the others' as a problem.

Until they were abruptly woken from sleep by Rocranth, apparently, announcing himself, and then everybody else started declaring what they would be called, loudly. They were pretty sure they heard somebody else throw out the name, "Ath," in frustration at this sudden exercise. They sympathized. The idea that they should have a name for themself was a thought that had been rumbling in the background of their mind for a while, but they had been focused on other things - namely, getting out into the world proper that was out there. And just now, they had been asleep, and they just wanted to go back to sleep. Somebody - was it the one who just named themself(?) Liorenth? - was greeting each individual in the clutch by name as they named themselves, and while the inhabitant within Canyon admired their(?) diligence, they themself knew that they weren't going to be able to memorize all of everyone's names in one go - there was a lot of them. So instead they waited, and waited, and waited until everyone was once again silent so they could finally return to blessed sleep.

When they awoke, they knew themself to be Kanyoth. Did they tell anyone? No. Instead, they got back to trying to complete their current quest, breaking out into the world.
