The others were quiet for a change giving Miles a chance to think his own thoughts. He liked the constant barrage of New Things but occasionally he needed a chance to process what all he had learned.

For instance words were fascinating, these thoughts that flitted across the edges of his awareness. The Mother, her Echo, his siblings...

His siblings... He had pulled the word from something one of the minds had thought, he was one of many. He loved them the bright flickering that spoke at the edges of his awareness. And if he offered them words they gave him new concepts and questions, things to drive away the boredom.
Words were wonderful and he had decided to learn as many of them as he can. The more words he had then the less bored he would be.
