That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?" - Hallelujah

Picking up the upturn in mother-Gwillanth's mood, again a touch of anticipation, someone she has been looking forwards to meeting again? Or something. Or what - Liorenth pokes at her, what is it that caused this change mother? Of course, no answer.
But when Jermeer and the apprentice start to play, and the vibrations are felt through the eggshell - as the whole world trembling - whole body trembling - this is not like when mother moves the eggs. The pitch changes, and inside the egg the little one feels the sound in his growing bones and this feeling is very different to hearing mindvoices. So physical. Is it good/bad? How to even describe new sensory input for which there are no words.. yet. He is unsure - is this right? Should this happen?
He reaches to mother again but she is placid, calm, enjoying the vibrations, hoping the clutch will find them soothing also.
Soothing? Is it though?
Liorenth reaches again for the harper, touching the tips of Jermeer's thoughts as the man starts to lose himself in the familiar tune and the joy of music making and playing with an accompanist on the drums.
Something about the rhythm does feel soothing maybe, how the drumbeat interplays with the changes in tone.
Liorenth reaches this time for the apprentice - feels the counting, slight anxiety, and he also feels the music.
The drumbeat is definitely feeling soothing now, restful, like a heartbeat. I don't mind if they stay he thinks dreamily. And there is some understanding that the musicians have after all come to play for me. Mother also, but this is for me.
