The sudden declaration of an unfamiliar name caught Patchwork off guard.

Rocranth? Sun's Honor was … Rocranth now? Mother and her paramour had names like that … was that … something that Patchwork needed?

It reached for Gwillanth, seeking out in her mind what a name was. What having one meant. Did Patchwork need one?

The idea of a name for Patchwork was something it had never considered before but with the announcement of Sun's Honor's name it realized with was important. It needed a name too. It had to be a name of it's own. This was important. This was so, so important.

Yes? Yes.

Patchwork needed to find a way to compress the totality of what it was under a single word. Or find one that it just found acceptable? It wasn't something it would be able to change it thought, but there were not actual name-names it could go by too. Like the way Mother called Pertemarth 'my love' instead of Pertemarth sometimes.

Those were sounds that Patchwork liked. It had to fit together, though. The shape of it had to be pleasing to think.

Jek … Nak ... Jenka? Janath? Patchwork liked that. Not there, not close.
