2024-06-22 - Who Decides How I Feel?

Mother and the others are not the only things that speak, it islearning. There are many, many more of them and it senses them occasionally, only ever accompanied by Mother. Most seem to please her. A few anger her - a feeling it's only just familiarising itself with, and one that confuses it still. Is there a lot to be angry about, it wonders, and does one have to be angry about them? Does it have to feel certain things in response to other things or is it allowed to decide? Mother never seemed to need to decide to be angry or pleased or whatever else. Maybe it is, like so many things, out of its control. This soothes it - it settles back into its shell, content not to worry anymore. Everything in its turn.
