Fill

The egg is on the small side, compared to the rest of the clutch, but not so small as to be considered runty. It is a well-balanced ovoid, the expected egg-shape, being neither too long nor too short compared to its girth. It stands more or less straight on the sands, the narrow end pointing up towards the vault of the heavens.

The shell is primarily brown, starting dark at the broad base and lightening to a middling brown over most of the surface. It is capped with blue-marked snow white on the point, like the sky peeking through a cloudy sky. On the whole, the egg appears like a snowy mountain, and on closer inspection the browns of the rocky portion are striated and splotched, giving false depth to the scene.

A candidate with a bit of chalk and a deft hand could sketch in a winding path and dot the mountainside with the small dots of nimble goats, and it would not seem out of place.

From the right angle, the blue marking seems to be a twisting, knotlike shape composed of hearts and circles. It is not sharp and precise, but more like an interpretation of a shape made by clouds on an autumnal blue sky.
