2024-06-22 - A vast nothing [2-4]

The first time Omen felt mother's dreams of the "sky" and "flying" they were afraid. What was this space, this feeling of something moving against them, but nothing there? This vast nothingness that gave mother the happy feelings. Certainly learning the words for sky and wind and flight was exciting, but Omen was dubious.

The next time, Omen felt fear. That vast nothingness was calling to mother, and wanted to take her away.

Again, the same vast nothingness experience from Mother. Omen wasn't certain why mother kept sending these images, this feeling of nothing causing something, the nothing holding her up. Omen was concerned.

Another vast nothingness. Did mother want this vast nothingness to happen? Why? Omen was confused.

At this point, Omen was sad, for mother. She was making the vast nothingness feelings more and more often. It was clear to Omen that she wanted to be out in the nothingness. Maybe nothing was preferable to Omen. Omen was sad, and envious of, well, nothing.

Wind. The nothingness was wind. Air that moved itself. Someday Omen would get to feel the wind. They were starting to be excited. Maybe they would be able to feel the wind with mother. Maybe even with the others, if they too wanted to feel the wind.

Omen started to look forward to the Sky-Wind-Flying feelings.
