One may assume, from first contact, that Lights is a dim or shy egg. She takes great care with her words, chooses them with slow deliberation, and so can appear to be lost within conversation, overly quiet and a step behind. But though it tends to flinch back from thoughts and actions sharp or sudden, fails to be quick with in word and wit, this doesn't stop Lights from being a thoughtful and social egg.

So far the greatest yearning in Lights' small soul is others. Her clutchmates, mother, the humans and dragonkin who come and go, Lights wants to be part of the greater whole of it all, finds itself sore with loneliness if there are not other minds to slip against the edges of. It thrives in the exchange of emotions between them, simple companionship, and yes even unbalanced conversations. They help the itch that won't be fully soothed for weeks yet, and are a ready source of more information on how to communicate well. In a way that doesn't harm the collective, doesn't drive others away. Salve on a worry otherwise only healed with time and experience. If that requires keeping her negative feelings safely in her head, sending adrift only those of the happiness, affection, caring felt for those around her?

Lights is loving enough, and maybe a little desperate enough, to do it.
