2024-06-21 - All Together Makes A Quilt

Patchwork is uncomplicated.

Or, rather, the whole world seems to be uncomplicated and everyone else is getting worked up while Patchwork just is.

Pain and sorrow seem just as fleeting as anything else! So why bother with feeling the weight of the world when the path of least resistance is right there? It's cheerful by choice, and its sure it can persuade anyone to feel the same! If they don't then did Patchwork do something wrong?

It's a mindset that many would see as naive at best, willfully ignorant at worst. Unless, of course Patchwork simply doesn't have anything more going on below the surface? It's hard to tell since even Patchwork isn't sure how to identify that part of itself, and it certainly doesn't want to examine it.

Patchwork is immediately drawn to people who embody what it wants to be; flirty and friendly, someone who goes through life with a joke always at the ready. This perhaps isn't what Patchwork needs, though, and who's to say if - or when - Patchwork will figure that out?
