There once was an egg who dreamt to fly
Wingtips brushing tops of clouds so high.
It so longed to soar
Knowing it would adore
The embrace of that deep, endless sky.

The sky changed - blue, rosy, pale, starbright
Sometimes soft with clouds, other times bright
Starry nights left their mark
For though quite dark
Love of stars overrid fear of night.

Longing, yearning, it wanted to share
These dreams of joy and open air
Bright songs did it spin
To draw others in
Into tales full of wonder and flair.
