From the notes of Journeyman Dragonhealer Mennui:
Initial inspection of the Streetlamp egg reveals a medium-sized shell with a pointed top and wide base. Gwillanth normally prefers to keep the shell in a reclined position, with a broad curve exposed and free of sand. When turning, she exhibits a preference for exposing the underside of the shell, nearly resting it on its topmost portion. There are no easily discernible post-clutching marks, most likely owing to its deep color.
In said respects the egg is a mixture of navy, indigo, and steel blue hues. Darkest at the apex and left-most portion of the shell, the color slowly fades and lightens into silver at the opposite right-hand side located at the base of the egg. Faint ripples of lighter color can be seen at regular intervals, inspiring many, especially the candidates from coastal regions, to remark that the pattern reminds them of waves cresting against a shore. In fact, this detail is so noted that it is what gave the egg its distinctive moniker. Furthermore, it is noted that motes of cream and orange speckle the shell in an irregular size and fashion. Following the accepted “theme” applied to the egg, these markings have been said to suggest lights in the ocean, reminiscent of some curious mechanism of bioluminescence.
The egg possesses a good, healthy weight with no discernable blemishes or warping of the shell. Physical examination shows expected texture variance across length and width, with noted pebbling that appears to correspond with the aforementioned motes.
In conclusion, the Streetlamp egg meets the expected criteria that would suggest a healthy hatchling.
