The being inside the egg barely stirs as onlookers seek their first look at the clutch. The dragonet is not yet developed enough to reach out to the curious minds. If it had been old enough, it probably would have done so with the exuberance of someone yearning for a friend. The egg’s shell is still slowly hardening, but no one would dare enter the sands now, not with a protective mother on watch.
No matter where in the clutch this egg sits, it seems to never be sat too close to any other eggs. To some onlookers, this is a shame, since the egg’s bright, cheery colors contrasts so well with some of the darker-hued eggs of the clutch. It is also among the smallest eggs, and if not for that bright pop of sunlight, it would probably be lost in the crowd.
Most important is the egg’s coloring, some would say, not where the egg is sat in the clutch (though some who say that also believe that a golden egg should take center stage). This egg’s coloring does not disappoint. It beckons the onlooker to remember their favorite sunny day with a burst of sunbeams splayed across its front-face. The egg is asymmetrical in design if only because the bright burst of sunbeam sits on one side while the other side of the egg, while still richly bright, holds darker streaks of orange-yellow.
If nothing else could be said of the egg, It is a beautifully spherical object, like the sun itself. Onlookers, from as far away as they stand, can see no blemishes upon the egg. Even upon closer inspection by Healers, the egg looks perfectly healthy, if separated by its siblings by some invisible force field, as if it’s scared to reach out and touch them. Perhaps one day a curious candidate will step up and ask why.
