2024-06-06 - One Egg Coddled

This one was slow to wake, drifting in the warm glowing warming glow that was all it knew.

It didn’t have any understanding yet of the loving care that it was basted in or the dedication and attention that it and its yet unknown siblings received.

gold-velvet-warm-saffron-sugar-soft. It didn’t know the words for what it felt, or that there even were words, but it was content to doze in that undefined yet comforting all-encompassing blanket that it would come to know as Mother.

Her presence was thick and viscous, coating all that it touched with an inevitable thickness that soothed and calmed, that warmed and nourished.
