Cogito, ergo sum.

Distinction comes, not all at once, but over the course of innumerable zeptoseconds.

There is no great crescendo in the symphony of life. There is no grand reveal, no moment of exultation. In fact, the ideation happens so gradually that the little life does not even notice it – as a surf erodes the beach or the tree grows from seed to plant. Time does not exist in this thoughtplane, in this cocooned shelter of albumen and ichor, and so there is no way to say when this enlightenment comes.

It happened. It is happening. It will happen.

Regardless of the hows or whys, the end point is the same. Something monumental has occurred, even if the little life is still far too young and ignorant to understand the truth of it all. One day, perhaps it will. For now, this is enough.
