Safe. Secure. Solid. Soft. Sagacious. Strong. Sacred.

These are terms that can but touch the infinitism that is Mother. Not that the being within the egg knows Her as Mother just yet. No, for now She is safe-secure-solid-soft-sagacious-strong-sacred and manymanymany more things that can but touch on Her presence.

And yet, the being that is but a collection of synapses and cellular life still yet taking form does not quite accept all that this is. It is still too young, still too new. One day, perhaps, it will dream of bigger things. For now, the budding consciousness pushes-pulls-pushespushes at the confines of this primordial universe.

Perhaps Mother might touch upon the egg with its opaline shell and sense this feather-light sensation of not-yet-independence. Perhaps She will notice nothing at all, lost amongst a sea of fledgling thoughts and consciousnesses coming to light.

For now, the being within the egg can do little else but continue to grow. Sheltered, safe, and secure.
